{"id":94043,"date":"2013-12-20T09:42:38","date_gmt":"2013-12-20T07:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=94043"},"modified":"2013-12-20T09:45:27","modified_gmt":"2013-12-20T07:45:27","slug":"google-takedown-requests-double","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/94043-google-takedown-requests-double.html","title":{"rendered":"Google takedown requests double"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Governments around the world are becoming more aggressive in asking Google to remove or censor content from its services, the web search giant said in a Transparency Report issued Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Google said the number of requests for removal of content increased 68 per cent from January to June, compared with the last six months of 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Google received 3,846 requests to remove 24,737 pieces of content, the report said.
