At CES 2014 Valve unveiled 14 partners who will be producing Steam Machines.<\/p>\n

All have prototype designs ready which will be heading into production for release in 2014.<\/p>\n

The Steam Machines will be produced by the following companies:<\/p>\n

  3. CyberPowerPC<\/li>\n
  4. Digital Storm<\/li>\n
  5. Falcon NW<\/li>\n
  6. GigaByte<\/li>\n
  7. iBuyPower<\/li>\n
  8. Maingear<\/li>\n
  9. Material.net<\/li>\n
  10. Next Spa<\/li>\n
  11. Origin PC<\/li>\n
  12. Scan<\/li>\n
  13. Webhallen<\/li>\n
  14. Zotac<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Steam Machines run the gamut of price and performance options, with systems starting from $499.<\/p>\n

    Every Steam Machine includes a Steam Controller and is powered by the SteamOS, a custom OS built atop Linux.<\/p>\n

    “The first generation Steam Machines offers something for every gamer, which is a critical part of extending Steam into the living room,” said Gabe Newell of Valve. “With over 3,000 games and more than 65 million gamers on Steam, it\u2019s important to offer gamers a variety of Steam Machines that allow them to select what makes the most sense for them.”<\/p>\n
