Hisense announced in a press release dated Monday, 6 January 2013, that it is launching its new range of televisions to retailers from South Africa at the International CES 2014 show.<\/p>\n
New features include a facility that allows TV service without a set-up box and access to global cloud-based content, Hisense said.<\/p>\n
The range of new TVs will be debuted at CES in Las Vegas and will launch in South Africa in mid\u20132014.<\/p>\n
According to Hisense, the TVs will feature multi screen capabilities, an integrated media centre, and access to content from live channels that include video-on-demand and catch-up TV.<\/p>\n
They also include an array of applications, including gaming, without the need for a set top box; and will provide local access to global content, Hisense said.<\/p>\n
Hisense said that the TVs will use an interface designed by its sister organisation, Jamdeo. According to the Jamdeo website its platform is Android-based.<\/p>\n
The TVs will also incorporate cloud connectivity and multiscreen content management services from Vidmind, Hisense said.<\/p>\n
