{"id":95041,"date":"2014-01-18T11:23:18","date_gmt":"2014-01-18T09:23:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=95041"},"modified":"2014-01-18T11:25:17","modified_gmt":"2014-01-18T09:25:17","slug":"sa-childporn-syndicate-case-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/95041-sa-childporn-syndicate-case-postponed.html","title":{"rendered":"SA childporn syndicate case postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A legal professional appeared in the Lichtenburg Magistrate&#8217;s Court on Friday in connection with an international child pornography syndicate, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The case was postponed until April 4 for trial, Lt-Gen Solomon Makgale said.<\/p>\n<p>The 54-year-old man was charged with violating the Films and Publications Act. He is one of six men arrested in four provinces for alleged involvement with the syndicate.<\/p>\n<p>They include a primary school principal, who has since been fired, and a Potchefstroom businessman.<\/p>\n<p>The syndicate was uncovered by an organisation based in Canada.
