href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/462443-Independent-Communications-Authority-of-South-Africa-%28ICASA%29\">Icasa<\/a>) published its latest Quality Of Service (QoS) report for <a title=\"Vodacom\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227063-Vodacom\">Vodacom<\/a>, <a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a>, and <a title=\"Cell C\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/213919-Cell-C\">Cell C<\/a> in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan, revealing some performance problems.<\/p>\n<p>The report focused on the Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) and Dropped Call Rate (DCR) in Port Elizabeth CBD, KwaZakele, Motherwell, Uitenhage, and KwaNobuhle.<\/p>\n<p>The report revealed the following performance problems from Vodacom, MTN, and Cell C:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vodacom failed the accessibility (CSSR) test in Motherwell.<\/li>\n<li>Cell-C failed the retainability (DCR) test in Motherwell and KwaNobuhle due to poor coverage conditions.<\/li>\n<li>MTN failed the retainability (DCR) test in KwaNobuhle.<\/li>\n<li>Cell-C did not meet the average DCR target.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dropped call rate in PE<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In terms of accessibility key performance indicators, which are expressed as average call set-up success rate (ACSSR), all Operators met the target.<\/p>\n<p>ICASA highlighted that it did not measure voice quality in all areas, and poor signal levels detected in some areas could affect customer experience during the voice call.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Average call setup success rate (higher is better)<\/h3>\n<p>The report showed that all operators performed above the regulator\u2019s target of 95% for call setup and MTN were well below the regulator\u2019s average dropped call rate target of 3%, while Cell-C did not meet the target with a DCR of 3.87%.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_96257\" style=\"width: 610px\"
