{"id":9640,"date":"2009-09-16T15:17:00","date_gmt":"2009-09-16T13:17:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-09-16T15:17:00","modified_gmt":"2009-09-16T13:17:00","slug":"google-releases-chrome-3-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/9640-google-releases-chrome-3-0.html","title":{"rendered":"Google releases Chrome 3.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google has announced the release of Chrome 3.0 for PCs, adding that a Mac version of the browser will be out within a few months.<\/p>\n<p>According to Google this updated Chrome build has improved by over 150% in Javascript performance since its first Beta and by over 25% since the most recent stable release.<\/p>\n<p>Among other improvements including enhancements to the New Tabs bar and the Omnibox Chrome 3.0 features further HTML5 capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&#8217;re very excited about HTML5 becoming standard in modern browsers, and continued to add HTML5 capabilities to this stable release. We&#8217;re particularly excited about the tag in HTML5, which makes embedding videos in a page as simple as embedding regular images. The tag also allows video playback without a plug-in,&rdquo; said a recent posting on the official Google blog.<\/p>\n<p>After testing Themes for Chrome in the beta channel the company has announced that it has included this addition to the browser features.<\/p>\n<p>A Mac version of the browser is currently available for testing and the stable release is due to be rolled out before the end of 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Google Chrome is currently fourth in the browser rankings with roughly 2.8% of the market share.
