This project saw 1Mbps ADSL lines upgraded to 2Mbps, 2Mbps to 4Mbps, and 4Mbps to 10Mbps.<\/p>\n<p>While most of Telkom\u2019s ADSL clients have received the higher speeds, some clients could not be upgraded.<\/p>\n<p>The possible reasons for not upgrading a line include that the modem is switched off, the quality of the copper is too low for higher speeds, or the distance from the exchange is too far.<\/p>\n<p>Good news is that Telkom is addressing many of these issues.
