{"id":97761,"date":"2014-02-27T16:20:29","date_gmt":"2014-02-27T14:20:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=97761"},"modified":"2014-02-28T11:01:26","modified_gmt":"2014-02-28T09:01:26","slug":"supersport-clarifies-streaming-issue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/97761-supersport-clarifies-streaming-issue.html","title":{"rendered":"SuperSport clarifies streaming issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"SuperSport\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/389603-SuperSport\">SuperSport<\/a> said that the streaming issues encountered last week were down to the implementation of changes on their platform, and the company apologised for the streaming problems on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n<p>This clarification followed a report that a <a title=\"Supersport streaming\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/97225-beware-afrihost-if-you-want-best-live-streaming-supersport.html\"><strong>SuperSport representative laid some of the blame<\/strong><\/a> for streaming problems at the feet of ISPs.<\/p>\n<p>SuperSport communications manager <a title=\"Clinton van der Berg\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/600345-Clinton-van-der-Berg\">Clinton van der Berg<\/a> responded to this issue, saying that the SuperSport posting on the DStv Forum was a clumsy \u2013 and erroneous \u2013 attempt to explain the situation to users. It has since been deleted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuperSport\u2019s prevailing view is that we want to work with ISPs in identifying issues around how our content is delivered to their users. We are not finger-pointing at all,\u201d said van der Berg.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cISPs don\u2019t partner directly with Level 3.
