The production company behind the Oscar Pistorius trial channel for Carte Blanche on DStv, Combined Artists, has pulled the plug on its live stream from the courtroom.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s the word from the head of production of Combined Artists in a general letter which explains that there were a number of problems with their live feed over the last few days.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the live stream of DStv’s dedicated Oscar Pistorius trial channel (199 on its satellite platform) is still online. Combined Artists only changed the source of its live video feed from the courtroom itself.<\/p>\n
According to Combined Artists, their supplier worked ceaselessly to identify and rectify the problem.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately, despite their best efforts, it seems that the feed will remain erratic and problematic,\u201d the letter stated.<\/p>\n
To ensure a live feed that is consistently high quality, Combined Artists said it has decided to instead get Globecast\u2019s live courtroom feed.<\/p>\n
Combined Artist\u2019s online feed URL was set to be closed down from 08:00 on Wednesday, 5 March 2014.<\/p>\n
Live streams of the courtroom proceedings are available from a variety of media houses, including eNCA and SABC news:<\/p>\n
DStv\u2019s dedicated channel for the Oscar Pistorius trial is still available via its satellite platform on channel 199, and DStv Compact, Extra, Premium subscribers are still able to stream the channel to their PCs:<\/p>\n
