Ouch. Ima take a bet those accounts have their password changed very soon.

I wouldn't assume that only business customers have been compromised.

I wonder how many people on MyBB are actually going to try and use this information to get free internet?

    LOL.

Would be bloody stupid to try, since the ADSL line number is recorded for each authentication. More chance of hacking into people's bank accounts by reading their emails, etc, etc, and less likely to get busted in the process.

I assume most of those are uncapped accounts, so limited to 1 login per account.

Sure, but it depends on what you are logging into. e.g. email, account controls, etc. e.g. log in to the web control panel, start topping up, adding services, etc, etc.

As the account is linked to the physical line (for uncapped), I do not see this as a major issue.

Yes but some people out there won't think of stuff like that. I'll keep my nose clean this time, since I already have uncapped with OpenWeb.

    Hope OpenWeb doesn't get hacked.

I'm pretty sure they can log the number that the account was dialed up from! I know with Afrihost they lock the uncapped to one number, and you have to phone them to use it from another location... so I would advise everyone not to take chances! The obvious thing too, its just plain wrong and illegal!
