Thread: Telkom Mobile Self Service Portal / iPad Portal Issues

    How does self service work now? I see that that going to the telkom mobile site redirects to telkom, and I tried creating a telkom account, but the phone number/account number of my data SIM is not being recognised. What options are there to track data usage on a 3G SIM?

    I'm using my SIM in a wireless router with a laptop (not tablet/smartphone), so would prefer a website rather than an app.

    try http://onnet.8ta.com/ when connected via the telkom sim.

    The bundles option seem to be broken at the moment,I cant'select a bundle type (and hence no bundle).

    Any ideas?

    Where exactly?

    BTW Telkom did away with Telkom Mobile network bundles. http://mybroadband.co.za/news/broadb...-unveiled.html

    On the MyTelkom site where you would normally buy data bundles. I do understand that they have new bundles but where can I recharge with it?

    Not sure, I saw the new bundles on the onnet.8ta.com link last night. If all else fails use the ussd menu instead *180# IIRC.

    Select "all network bundles" from the Categories drop down? Or pop the sim into your phone to use USSD from there?

    The categories drop down is empty, there is nothing in there. Looks like I will have to dig up an old phone and try that.

    Really frustrated with the recent TELKOM web portal upgrade!!!

    Can no longer view my data bundle, nor can I buy data bundles online, nor can I link my account so I can view my data bundle, WTF???

    When I attempt to link my account all I get is: Unfortunately your request could not be completed. We apologise for the inconvience and will investigate the problem.

    NO RESPONSE FROM [email protected] ???

    Telkom is my service provider, and I managed to set up receiving e-mails to my Vodacom phone, but cannot sent and don't know which smtp to use.
