Like other? The only major thing they have abandoned that I can think of is Google Wave.

I just installed it now. Going to start syncing my NB stuff across

Wave, Buzz, Knol, Health and Google Desktop, Google Search Timeline, Google Gear, Google Friend Connect, Google Bookmarks Lists. And the renewable energy project.
I'm a fan of google, don't get me wrong. Just wondering about this project, when there is a few other good products out there.

I'm a big google fan, I think they are in this project for the long haul. They've cut out all the fluff (the things you mentioned above) and have a clearer focus these days.

I've been using dropbox for sometime now. And so far so good, so I don't know if I need another one. I feel very undecided on this one.

I didn't have a cloud file sync thing yet, so I GoogleDrive is my first go

Skydrive just gave me 25gb free.

    Wow.

Edit - seemingly with no time based expiry. Killing the One X dropbox offering. Well at least I have 50GB more cloud space picked up today on top of my 50GB box space.

We just need the operators to make cloud computing a cost effective solution for South Africans.
