Most of my log entries have a -1 for coordinates, even though GPS is turned on. :-/

    Hi gr8signal -

Is there any way you can start a new thread or combine all the questions asked and answered to date in your first post on this thread? It is no fun going through 11 pages at this stage to check every question that has been covered.

My question - is there any way I can see my data on the map?

    Hi Quintrix

Were busy putting a wiki together to aggregate the questions and will post a link to the site once its up. We do already cater to some of them in the FAQ.

Though the forum works well as a method to respond to specific question.

To answer your question. Currently there isn't a way to see your specific data on the map, but it is part of our development plan and will be available.

Is there any way someone could possible manipulate the results or the uploads?
Just thinking out loud, say for example if a network wanted to show more green than any other colour, being the honest chaps they are
Lets say a network tech has a way to manipulate the signal, for the better for them, they register and upload green all over the place. Just asking

All things are possible but we are checking doing checks on the data.

Also as we get more data it should be harder as we'll be looking for logs that that don't follow patterns that that others around them do. If we find any we'll make sure the data has no effect. Also going back in the history.

Many thanks for your reply and a great piece of software.
The reason I am askingis I am literally monitoring this all day wherever I am in Sandton area and there is no way on my phone that Vodacom is seeing more than results in the 50's majority of the time.
I have created an ID and logged in turbo mode too.
Since a few days ago, the green results seem more on the map. I am running the Samsung S3 and when I travel in these areas, its not good at all. Only perhaps on highways. Just asking and do not mean to insinuate anything Do not want to piss off the networks

    Default Green means Go?

Is it possible that different phones may be showing different signal values?
I have two phones here where one gives a stronger signal indication than the other.
Also, mostly 2G Networks seem to have a stronger signal than 3G, could this be another factor?

    Hi kripstoe

Yes, we agree that we need an easier way to view all the questions and answers: To this end we are putting together a wiki that we will be publishing soon.

We are currently working of the feature where you will be able to view your own data on www.gr8signal.co.za.

    Regards,
    gr8signal team.

    Hi The_Librarian

Are your logs uploading? Is GPS on ? (If the location is not accurate enough we will not show it).

If you could send us your tracking id to support@gr8signal.co.za I can look a bit further to see what may be causing the problem.

    Default Wiki FAQ

Were busy putting together a better FAQ at http://wiki.gr8signal.co.za/wiki/ind...sked_Questions.

Are there any other questions anyone would like answered?

If you ask them here I will update the wiki and post the answer in the forum.

Default Something to check on the website

Not sure if others experienced the same but the + button to zoom into the map does not work for me. When I click on the + the text box to the right is highlighted and no zoom takes place. In order to zoom in I have to grab the whatshallwecallit and drag it up towards the +.

    I'm using Chrome 23.0.1271.64m
