10 points
Great (gr8) idea and application.
An independent view of network coverage in SA.
Recommend all (Android) users install the app.
Not sure what happens if you don't have wifi to upload - enable Turbo Mode?
9c/l fuel levy would pay off GFIP in 8 years
Telkom ADSL "legal" contention ratio is 20:1
"IPC bandwidth is 4x the cost of international bandwidth" - Afrihost
A great app, finally we can see what the real coverage is like.
Nice app, but what benefit does it have over something like opensignalmaps?
Heccers! I dig it
I like it, would be interesting to see what the networks will say about the constant red areas
It's going to be interesting to see how much of the country is going to be red when the map gets updated next - I imagine that the number of people with the app installed has more than doubled today
Prediction: what's shown on gr8signal is going to differ from the "official" operator-supplied signal maps quite substantially!
The world would be better off if it were run by engineers.
I like the idea, but "gr8signal"? Really? Are we preteens?
Even adults can be cool, man.
Several professional companies are using Mxit language. One example being:

Lekker app!
Hi Calypso
For one the application is focused only on South Africa so hopefully we'll give a better view on whats going specifically for our country.
Also with registration you will be able to download the data you logged. That way you can also get more information from it. ( We should be enabling all the accounts at the latest by tomorrow hopefully latter today.)
Hi Pseudonym
http://www.greatsignal.co.za/ Will also work. It was more to have something that would work for a .com as Jan mentioned. As were focusing on South Africa http://gr8signal.co.za is the one were focusing on.
Though we wanted to cover all the common URLs that people type in.
