    Default excellent telkom service (not an oxymoron)

    I never thought I would ever type those words.

    I got home last Thursday to discover I have no service, everything down DSL and phone line. Logged a fault at about 7pm at night (through mobile phone). With all expectations that I will have no broadband over the weekend.

    I receive a call during a meeting at 8:30 on Friday morning. It is a Telkom technician outside my gate, wanting to come in and fix my problem. To say I was shocked is an understatement. problem solved 30 min later.

    other than the problem not occurring in the first place, I would find it hard placed to provide a better fault repair service.

    A few weeks ago I logged a call on a saturday afternoon at 13:00, 09:00 the sunday morning someone called me to ask if I'd be home for the next few hours.

    13:00 someone pitched up and fixed the issue.

    Beat that!!!

    3 months and still waiting for them to still install the entry cable in our new complex in Gallo Manor, JNB..

    Apparently need 65% of all residents to sign up for Telkom landlines before they will commit.
