    Lightbulb New MyBroadband newsletter

    Hi there

We recently asked you for feedback on how to improve our newsletters, and you supported a single daily newsletter for all our websites and subscribers. This new newsletter will contain the latest daily news from MyBroadband, BusinessTech and MyGaming, as well as forum announcements like competitions or surveys.

Other advantages include a single subscribe and unsubscribe system, and a mobile friendly newsletter design.

To subscribe (or check if you are already subscribed) to the new MyBroadband daily newsletter, click here: MyBroadband newsletter subscription

We will launch a competition with some cool prizes to promote the newsletter soon, so to ensure you are subscribed may be a good idea

Can I change it back to the plain text format? HTML e-mail is really not necessary for this newsletter. So much unnecessary whitespace.

Newsletter starts 'Dear there' . Something missing there!

A single newsletter for everything may work for now, but eventually you'll want all the sister sites to have enough content for their own newsletters.

Also keep in mind since you are asking this on MyBB, they will probably want all the news, but someone that's ONLY on MyGaming will only want MyGaming stuff.

As for having 1 unsubscribe, it's always better to have it categorized so people can choose what they want.

Like if you could have a system where you tick which sites news you want.

Furthermore, why no images if it's HTML?

Instead of the generic and terrible "More news"

Why not separate into "Gaming news", "business news", "Broadband News".

Naturally people will have a preference for the news they want so can jump straight to the section that interests them.
May your life be full of stories

I must confess that MyBroadband is a big disappointment to me. It moved from a stunning forum and an important player in this space to just another commercial venture.

Yes, it was predictable I suppose but that is what makes it even more disappointing. If it was American then nobody would be disappointed - Mammon is worshipped unashamedly. But South Africans, I like to think, are different. We care about more things than money.

I wanted to convey my disappointment instead of just unsubscribing, which I will now do.

Good luck, hope you enjoy the $$$ because that is all it does for you (enjoyment which does not last)

@RPM your emails are very informative. Here's a suggestion can you please have a digital magazine every month with fancy graphics or so + the obviously information ... i feel as if you guys might have the potential to establish the biggest infomation technology magazine in the country. The information you guys provide is always current and useful. The other forums in the country well they seem to live in a backward 4th generation somehow.

Enjoying the Daily Tech mails! Great when I'm on the road and haven't been able to check the forums.
I believe posters are recognised by their sig... so I made one.

I must say I really do like the single column layout compared to the two columns of the older layout - much easier to read on a mobile device.
