Question Cisco 1841 and 2610XM ADSL help

Hi there guys, I am trying to configure both of these routers having a WIC-1ADSL installed in both. I cannot seem to get either of them connecting. I have tried everything and just end up landing right where I began. I have looked at previous posts put up and non of them help.

    The 2610XM has ios: c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-7
    The 1841 has: c1841-advipservicesk9-mz.124-12

I know my line is fine since I can browse the net via my standard Telkom router.

    My config looks like this:

    interface FastEthernet0/0
    ip address 192.168.x.x 255.255.255.0
    ip nat inside

    !--- DSL interface.

    !
    interface ATM0/1
    no ip address
    no atm ilmi-keepalive
    bundle-enable
    dsl operating-mode auto
    hold-queue 224 in

    interface ATM0/1.1 point-to-point
    pvc 8/35
    pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1

    interface Dialer1
    ip address negotiated
    ip mtu 1492
    ip nat outside
    encapsulation ppp
    dialer pool 1
    dialer-group 1
    ppp authentication pap callin
ppp pap sent-username [email protected] password xxxxxxxxx
    !

ip nat inside source list 1 interface Dialer1 overload
    ip classless
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dialer1
    no ip http server
    !
    access-list 1 permit 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.255
    !
    dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit

I am not quite sure which debugs to run, ppp negotiation and authentication does not give me anything useful to work with. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks a million in advance
    Special Boy!

    Default

Dunno why you've specified ppp callin auth, and it's not necessary to create a subinterface on the ATM interface. Here is my (known working) config for the relevant parts (ATM/dialer):

    interface ATM0
    no ip address
    load-interval 30
    atm vc-per-vp 64
    no atm ilmi-keepalive
    dsl operating-mode auto
    pvc 8/35
    pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1

    interface Dialer1
    ip address negotiated
    ip mtu 1492
    ip nat outside
    ip virtual-reassembly
    encapsulation ppp
    ip tcp adjust-mss 1348
    dialer pool 1
    dialer remote-name ISP1
    dialer-group 1
    ppp chap hostname username
    ppp chap password 7 encrpassword
ppp pap sent-username username 7 encrpassword
    ppp ipcp dns request
    ppp ipcp wins request

I don't know if they use pap or chap, so I just specify both.

Let me know if you don't come right, then we can try the debug commands.
