Central Rand Gold Wins South African Court Case Against Puno Gold

LONDON (Alliance News) - Central Rand Gold Ltd said Wednesday the High Court of South Africa has found in its favour in a dispute between one of its subsidiaries and its black economic empowerment partner, Puno Gold Investments Pty Ltd.

The case revolved around the validity and enforceability of a 2008 funding call made by Central Rand Gold Netherlands Antilles, on Puno. The court found the call to be valid and enforceable.

Therefore Central Rand Gold's subsidiaries were awarded ZAR72.3 million, or approximately USD924,791, plus their legal costs, which are yet to be determined.

Central Rand Gold said it is now considering its options in light of the court decision.

Shares in Central Rand Gold were untraded at 0.401 pence Wednesday.

    FURTHER TRADING STATEMENT

Further to the trading statement released on SENS on 31 January 2017 (“Initial Trading Statement”), a

Oh here it is. Seems to have been filed under ABL.

A further trading statement will be released once the Company has a greater degree of certainty with regards to its financial results for the financial period.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company’s auditors.
