Do the Hisense Smart TVs have Google Play installed?
ALL POSTS ARE IN MY PERSONAL OPINION
"Pray for Our President Zuma and his party, Julius Malema, and Zimbabwean Robert Mugabe... Psalm 109:8".

How Smart are the Hisense smart TV's compared to the big brands like Samsung, LG etc?

It's a pity they love to stick their God awful oversized logo on the front of the TV making a very clear statement that it's cheap.

The logo/look has improved over the years though, at the beginning they looked cheap albeit with a miraculous 5yr warranty, now they look pretty decent.

What?? The logo on my 50" is tiny, also what does the logo have to do with cheapness? Unless you're a brand snob.
Do you hear the voices, too?

I seem to be in a lighting strike zone....

So none of them [email protected] from any defect, all whacked by surges.
Fortunately I seem to have decent insurance as well

That, or its a marketing tactic where customers will think that the Manufacturer has confidence in their product, so sales will increase because of consumer confidence. The resulting increase in sales will give the company more money so they can in turn sort out more warranty claims if they have to.

My next TV will be Hisense, my 8k Samsung series 6 started showing ghost images and light bleeding after its warranty was up, they can take their 2yr warranty and shove it as well.

I'd rather support a manufacturer who has faith in their product and gives you 3+ years warranty.
My old Sinotec died after 4+yrs and I got full refund.

My 2 year old Samsung 60" K7000 which cost me whack has a fairly large patch (15cm x 15cm) that is far lighter and with less contract than the rest of the picture. Very visible in certain scenes and it appeared to slowly get that way over time.

Samsung quality taking a dive recently ?

I must admit, that outside that patch I'm still like 'wow!' when seeing the picture
    Jägermeiʃter can fix that!

Have you tried massaging the screen, Google it if you haven't there are a few techniques that can sometimes remedy patchy screen issues or thereabouts.

I am surprised nobody has discussed the scaling engines which is a priority for UHD TV's since there is no content for UHD and everything has to be up-scaled from lower resolutions.
