Already had some rain in Kenilworth (near the mountain). Will definitely rain tonight, but nothing like last week.

Clanwilliam hit 50% today, an incredible achievement when about a month ago, it was under 10%.

This is stunning as i drove past it about a month back and I get to drive past again next Sunday...... driving 780km just to catch a plane at the airport, an hour after I drop one person another arrives for collection back to Namibia..... the joys of parenthood...

    Back to the dam...

They just recently upgraded the N7 around the dam and have built the new road further back from the dam and up a hill, with a flyover that goes over the floodplain on the western part of the dam, I often wondered if it was a waste of money, but if that dam fills 40% in a month I might be wrong......

Yep! But the area 6m above the current high level mark spreads out quite dramatically, so I reckon it will be quite a challenge to ever see that dam reach 100% ..... need a biblical type flood!
