    You should have fought harder.

My TV was about 6 months out warranty and had a large lighter area that I could see. No one else could really see it as it needed certain scenes, but it annoyed me.

A new panel was R17,000 - but Samsung made a plan to give me a new 60" KU7000 at R8.5k + trade in my old screen.

I'll take a photo of the KU7000 screen - but I really do find it a great set.
    Jägermeiʃter can fix that!

Wow, wish i had seen this post before, I have a Q7C, Samsungs supposedly amazing tv's. I bought mines at Sounds Great Clearwater, and in store it looks great, but in the dark which is something they never mention, is where you see all the issues, I posted my issue here: https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...2#post20884302

Really dissapointed, might as well have bought a cheap lcd imo.

Amazing how far it goes back - I remember when you used to check a letter on the screen to determine which factory it came from - and to make sure you only got a screen from a specific factory.

It sucks man. I'm never buying a Samsung tv again.

Samsung and LG both have ridiculous bleed. When hunting for my 65" the only panel that didn't have excessive bleed was the Hisense.

Just take it back and get it replaced. If you get another lemon, ask for a refund. I have an MU7351, no backlight bleed. I guess it's just luck of the draw.

Otherwise, if you aren't keen on Samsung, just ask for a refund and buy something else.

May or may not help but here are some settings I used on mine, with some variation to get it to my liking. There is some back light bleed though.

I have a samsung MU7351 and have noticed some bleeding and clouding as well. Just not sure if it's worth taking back as I'm scared the new one I get will have a worse issue. It's exaggerated by the camera a bit, but it's still annoying when watching dark scenes in movies/games. Anybody know if this is worth taking back?

Yeah I spoke to the store I bought it from and taking it back tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback, let's hope the new one is better.

So talking about the Samsung Panel Lottery. My KS8000 had an issue where a thick white line run from top to bottom on my screen with thinner black lines inside it. Called Samsung in the morning ( Sunday) was told someone will come out on Tuesday to have a look at it.

Get a call on Tuesday asking me for pictures of the fault. Yesterday a guy from Samsung rocks up with a new screen and transfer the internal electronics into it. He says there were a few issues with those panels.

So my original panel when he opened it was made in Vietnam ( sticker on the inside of the screen ) the replacement is made in Mexico ( still on the fence about how long this might last) I am still covered under warranty until 2019. New screen is better than the old one ever was.

I have to admit the whole process was very painless.

It's moderately painless but still unnecessary.

In your case it sounds like a proper fault though which is easy to get them to resolve.

In the case of blooming and quality issues which the panel lottery really refers to it can be a pain.

Has anyone here that had that issue open their tv to see which country the panel was manufactured in?
