Job Purpose:
Responsible for:
• Team Management:
– leading,
– mentoring
– and motivating a team of application implementers at various client sites
• Client Management
– relationship with the client
– Networking for new work at existing client, i.e. farming
• Client Deliverables
– Responsible for all deliverable at client
This role involves working together with the team and other stakeholders to provide solutions that meet the clients’ requirements and ensuring that those solutions are aligned to the overall strategic goals and objectives of the client

Management: -

● Delegate tasks to team members (resource allocation) and monitor delivery or progress thereof.
● Manage and be accountable for overall task estimation of deliverables
● Coordinate allocation of resources with other team leaders during regular feedback sessions
● Monitor the performance of the individual team members and manage their development plan
● Prepare business cases and proposals for new projects
● General Management
● Structure and enforce inter-team mentoring

Project Management: -

● Understand the scope of the project
● Prepare and manage project, release and implementation plans (activities, resourcing, dependencies, scheduling)
● Costing of proposals and projects based on the scope of work.
● Ensure that projects are within budget, time and meet the business objectives and goals.

Implementation: -

● Provide leadership in technical/business process planning and guidance.
● Analyse the risks, benefits and opportunities of the solutions provided.
● Evaluate requirements prior to project initiation and understand client expectations.
● Testing of the solutions or delegate the responsibility for the solutions to be tested.
● Assist with implementation tasks where required.
● Solicit Requirements such that proposals can be done

Client Relationship Management: -

● Maintain and build strong client relationships.
● Network for new business opportunities at existing clients/Pipeline Management.
● Provide regular feedback and reporting to clients on the progress or status of projects.

Administration: -

● Authorize timesheets monthly in line with the account manager’s expectations, including managing hours billed against the client.
● Assist with contracts and agreements on new projects or clients.
● Invoicing
● Forecasting.

Qualifications: -

B.Com, B.Sc or B.Eng degree with IT related subjects as majors, from one of the following universities: UCT, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, Wits, Pretoria, North West (only Potchefstroom campus), Free State, KZN, Nelson Mandela
Excellent academic results essentials, 65% overall average +, Matric Mathematics HG A or B, essential
