Thanks guys for all your suggestions & recommendations. Sonic telecoms came out yesterday to do the LOS test & I'm getting 70-75% signal strength with a 9ms ping to their tower in Newlands. Just waiting on their quote for installation (minus their router)

We would not sign a customer up with anything less than 90% signal strength and no more than 3ms to the tower.

    Just saying...

That would be awesome, but you guys don't have any coverage in the southern suburbs...

Bad internet is better than no internet, but I agree with you.

I've just heard Ashraf from Megamax is rolling out a sweet Mimosa network in your area.

    2.4Ghz, R40 per GB?, 4Mbps @ R650? Ouch... Think you're better off with 3G / LTA tbh...

Can always check out http://wibre.co.za as well.

They do uncapped home stuff, and would also never install anything lower than a 90% signal or sub 3ms on your link.

Thanks, left them a message on their website. I don't see anything about a FUP, so I hope they don't have one & I can get LOS.
