You will have to explain more by what you mean by wifi installed (or in this case not installed).

I can make a wifi with my tablet, I can make a wifi spot with my fibre router, I could make a wifi with my ADSL router, I can make a wifi with my cellphone, I can make a wifi with mu 3G router.

Wifi is just a local network wireless technology.

Now the real question is whether the term WiFi can be used as a singular...

What happened to the OP? Did they finally get their WiFi "installed"? There seems to be no response from the OP on the current status?

Obviously it hasn't been installed yet, else he would have been here by now to complain about Delorean not installing the flux capacitor in his car.

Hopefully your wi-fi gets installed soon. Maybe a neighbor will let you connect for a few bucks until it is installed. A popular method could be to utilize your cell phone as a hot spot as well. I know with my my phone plan I receive ultra fast 4g speeds for only five dollars extra a month.
