Default MTN Prepaid Airtime Fee with Standard Bank?

I am with Standard Bank and have a MTN contract. Recently I have purchased airtime a few times from the Standard bank app and noticed that I am getting charged a flat prepaid fee for R1.11 consistently regardless of how much airtime I buy.
    Is this standard?

Yep, and FNB does the same

Capitec doesn't charge a fee. Capitec is love. Capitec is life.

    Also with Vodacom.

Standard Bank started this a while ago, sometime last year.

Even the criminal scammers know Capitec reflect inter bank transfers (not talking about the immediate payment kind) quickest, normally the next day.
