Nah! The ANC is using the land issue to create a problem, they come up with a solution so they can stay in power.

bwhahaha!... sorry, I have no interest in this discussion but I just wanted to say that's the dumbest statement I've read in a long time.
Generalization is supposed to be on the opposite edge of the same side of the coin... they're not supposed to be "accurate", that's why the concept exists.

Now, as for generalizations being "wrong", I call complete and utter BS, the vast majority of generalizations are incredibly valid and accurate 'cause they're based on the "wisdom of the crowd" concept.

    But let's go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisdom...crowd#Problems

Sure MyBB has a diverse crowd when speaking of ZANU PF or ANC. 99 against, 1 pro.

I never said generalizations were right or wrong by the way, merely inaccurate (as it was in the present case). And if they're not supposed to be accurate, you confirm my statement. But thanks for putting words in my mouth...

    Any further intellectual masturbation?

PS: It also seems that you've missed a major point: I fight a generalization with... a generalization. This was made to ridicule further the first inaccurate message.

As to who they are, and without mentioning any names, they call themselves a local empowerment organization and lay claim to representing a rather large area (10+ city wards).

All of that is immaterial though.

The simple fact of the matter, in my line of work, is that we are seeing more and more of these organizations crop up and demand some form of participation which they control followed by threats of violence, strikes and boycotts if we don't agree.
That's nothing more than a bunch of opportunists with their gravy spoons out.

The problem is these opportunists delay projects and cause cost overruns in the millions of rands by getting violent and shutting sites down.

I'm at the start of this process. Got the interdict and know that the police won't do anything.

Also what we are trying to avoid by have discussions with these groups and placating them till they lose interest.

It's cute at times seeing their excitement when we all sign an understanding that we will "endeavour to engage in a consultative process for the design of a policy framework which may be implemented in due course through which all relevant stakeholders may be informed of requests received etc."

Have a stack of those as well but we are lucky to have good support from the police and regional director from the city.

I don't care where they learned it from. It's blatant thuggery and extortion framed in pretty political terms.

The ANC has simply provided the tools/words which these "representatives" use to try and enrich themselves. There is no control over them though.

I know, I'm from the Eastern Cape. "Poor province" can be translated as "Luthuli house can't be bothered to keep an eye on that bunch"

Hey Mr Know-it-all. You gonna keep on quoting "a friend of a friend of a friend heard from Tant Sannie, or are you actually gonna provide evidence of these people?
