A little worn out this morning. I don't know how I missed it

Edit: Didn't even notice I'm standing a few metres from a cash van

Whatever happened to the ink stain concept for stolen money.

They can rig these bags to explode, making it difficult to adequately organize a hit.

There seems to be 0 deterrents apart from armed guard with armoured truck. Yawn.

Apparently they've figured a way to clean the notes.

Is there any proof of how much money's in those vans? Or is a number just thrown out and assumed to be true?

Then make the contents combust as soon as the bag is taken. Lots of options to make it fairly fool proof. If you interfere with the system poof it goes up in smoke, so that you can't jam it, disable it, etc. The money is insured and if it isn't taken then it can just be replaced so long as you show that it is destroyed.

How much would such a system cost to implement and maintain? Would it not drive cost of banking even higher?

Just means turning the dye into some corrosive substance that eats holes into the cash but not strong enough to corrode the bag/safe. The electronics/triggers should be off the shelf so relatively inexpensive.

Stop poking holes, it's a cashless society, meaning you can't sell anything for cash, so everything will be traceable!
I mean, just look at how well FICA and RICA are working to catch criminals.

Unfortunately the new breed of violent thugs is fairly well versed in legal matters and understand thee constitution. They'll do everything within their power to frustrate the process and escape on technicalities. Oh, and I read somewhere that they have attorneys on retainers.
