Authors and such, already simply assume, if it's Japenese, or even German, it is believed to be better than all other offerings.

    Assumed being the keyword.

In a perfect world, each reviewer will have his or her memory wiped, from knwoledge of past brand reputations, and each car be tested as if seeing with new eyes, not influenced by past achievements or failuires.

    But that's not realistic, sadly
The Go is made in India, not Japan.

Most of the tiny Indian-made sub-compacts are death traps.

But I say keep on selling them to the public. The more easily-deformed cars there are on the road, the better my chance of hitting one of them if I'm in an accident.

They're about the best thing to hit of you have to. Soft and energy absorbant.

Much worse if you get hit IN one.

Rule 1 is if they loan you a car you have to say nice things about it:

PS: I'm not afraid to post names, all of this is in the public space in any case.

PPS: A meaningful discussion about this is needed.

I do not believe any motor journalists. Car magazine also favour some brands so don't like the magazine.
Bribes and corruption to say nice things about a brand.

Toyota for example, the car was ok, but maintenance was expensive, so I never bought one again.

I'll never buy anything from what's left of GM. Not even the Opel! Anything that was under the GM showroom roof. [email protected]# them.

I've never had a GM car, but have some colleagues that have/had. Cars were not bad, service was horrific. I on the other hand booked my car in for it's first service after the maintenance plan expired and got the surprise of one last paid service which I didn't expect. Car was ready 2 hours before the "deadline" I gave them. Good and efficient, just like I've had consistently for a few years. I'm now to sh.t scared to buy anything else, wouldn't trust another dealer to give me the same service.

Don't you think it has everything to do with that particular service centre that services you car more than the car brand? you might be very surprised and not pleasantly if you were to move to a different area expecting the same service from the same brand.

I have given up on trying to compare the service you get by brand, it looks like there are horror stories everywhere.
I am of a nation that would not allow that fear of death, of torture, of imprisonment, of exile or persecution should result in the perpetuation of injustice.

I'm in complete agreement with you. Will judge this as I go on. For now I'm satisfied with where I am.
