So, Trump made a real movie trailer for Kim Jong Un. I'm not sure quite what to say about this, it's one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen

Featuring President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un.... in a meeting to remake history. To shine in the sun. One moment, one choice, what if? The future remains to be written.

So what exactly was accomplished from this meeting? Anything more than what NK already agreed to in April with SK? Apart from a major concession from the US side, I mean?

Lol you are trying to hard to make it seems insignificant. If you really believed that you should probably stop talking about it.

If you look at what Nixon's trip to China did, it softened the relations between the US and China. Which gave the US large power to draw concessions from the Soviet Union.

If Trump does get an amicable relationship going with the Norks, it will most likely start putting pressure on China as it won't have its tamed dog anymore.

That is quite an indirect achievement, wouldn't you say?

I think it does a lot of things.

    Short term:
Because of this, visually televised confirmation citizens were receiving on the daily national news, presidential approval ratings rose to almost 56 percent. [10]

Oh yeah job done on that front. It's a stunning photo op with very little substance and a fairly major concession.

I don't think it is that much . They still have 28 500 troops in South Korea.

know a lot of people dislike trump, (never understood why exactly)
but if he manage to pull this off, and reunify the Koreans,

hes in for a shot at the nobel peace prize, like Mandela and tutu.

Trump has mentioned that removal of the troops from SK is something that will be done. A major concession and exactly what NK have been wanting since 1953.

    You are kidding right?

As a function of the agreement?

Trump said he hoped to remove US troops from South Korea at some point.
"I want to get our soldiers out. I want to bring our soldiers back home," Trump said. "But that's not part of the equation right now. I hope it will be eventually."
US Defense Secretary James Mattis said Monday that US troop levels in South Korea were not part of negotiations with Pyongyang.

I think he is keeping that one for when the Norks actually do something.
