Good thing he was a physicist and not a politician
It`s also a good thing that you lot are IT professionals and not politicians.

The only part played by Einstein in the atomic bomb was the letter he rote to FDR on 2 August 1939 pointing out that work by various scientists indicated that uranium may be turned into a new and important source of energy in the immediate future. He went on to say that it may be possible to set up a nuclear chain reaction in a large mass of uranium, by which vast amounts of power and large quantities of new radium-like elements would be generated.

This new phenomenon would also lead to the construction of bombs, and it is conceivable--though much less certain--that extremely powerful bombs of this type may thus be constructed. A single bomb of this type, carried by boat and exploded in a port, might very well destroy the whole port together with some of the surrounding territory. However, such bombs might very well prove too heavy for transportation by air.

He then remarked that Germany was interested in uranium and FDR should keep in contact with scientists working on chain reactions in America.

Beyond that letter he had no further contact with the project.

    Reminds me of this...

If you believe everything you're supposed to now, how can you be sure you wouldn't also have believed everything you were supposed to if you had grown up among the plantation owners of the pre-Civil War South, or in Germany in the 1930s—or among the Mongols in 1200, for that matter? Odds are you would have.

Back in the era of terms like "well-adjusted," the idea seemed to be that there was something wrong with you if you thought things you didn't dare say out loud. This seems backward. Almost certainly, there is something wrong with you if you don't think things you don't dare say out loud.

There was no incorrect assumption on my part. You used the word 'culture' exactly as everyone understands it, which is exactly as it is defined. By defining it, you agreed that you apply your crude generalisations to all Chinese people. You simply proved my point. You are the reason that responding to crazy is not recommended
