This sounds pretty interesting. So you charge at home on solar for free, building up public charging credits and then when solar is bad or you're away from home, you charge for free from public chargers. I guess it depends on whether you'd need to use enough public charging cost per month to...
Hmmm, makes me tempted to try out MC801A. I'm also not very impressed with the G5TS router signal and when I plug in external antenna it didn't seem to help either.
This is awesome. I remember watching the videos of the previous version of this one! Plenty of small challenges to overcome and tweaks to make, so much fun!
I'd like to switch from Vodacom (through a different provider) to MTN LTE/5G through CoolIdeas, but when I run the coverage check, it only shows Vodacom as an option for my address.
I know MTN has signal in my area because I was previously on an MTN LTE package through another ISP and found it...
I guess we could have remembered that the test button wouldn't have been able to test by correctly using a path to earth, since there's only a L and N connection to it, no E.
Ellies surge plugs also have the 3 light indication which seems maybe similar to the earth leakage test setup posted...
I mean, yes that sounds like the ideal way to do it. But I don't have a test device so I'd have to go and buy one. On the other hand I have the inverter and the setting is correctly set. I can verify that the earth neutral bond exists by measuring the voltage between earth and neutral with a...
I think the new batch of Luxpower SNA5000 does have built in earth neutral bond, but it requires going into the menu and enabling it. On my parents SNA5000 it has the option in the menu and when enabled load port earth neutral voltage does measure 0V, so it seems functional.
Details aren't completely clear, it sounds like Eskom direct has already taken over their power from the municipality so this fee wouldn't at all be linked to Eskom power or the system being grid tied. I'm pretty sure this must fail, you can't charge people a monthly fee for installing their own...
I wonder about the legalities of giving incorrect information in these types of scenarios. You go to a dispensary, they ask you for your ID and phone number and you fill in numbers that aren't yours. On one hand it feels like it could be some sort of fraud. On the other hand, oops I wrote 2...
