Factory recommendation is between 25amps and 30amps. It can do 50amps but it is not recommended. Now I didn't build the battery so I can't tell you why.
Right, I actually got the settings to charge the battery and the biggest thing is the charging amps. I pushed mine to the recommended 25amps.
