Just checked how the batteries are being discharged and the BMS seems to manage discharge rates drawing more from the newest battery while the 3 from when it was new is being discharged at a lower rate.
Probably due to them having lost more capacity over the 5 years.
I always knew that I would want to add more batteries to the initial 3 I bought and pylontech was the only battery manufacturer at the time that specifically stated that their batteries could be mixed with different capacities so opted to go with pylontech.
Seems like only the US2000 batteries.

3 x US3000B installed June 2020 when the system was installed
1 x US3000C installed March 2021
1 x UP5000 installed April 2022
1 x UP5000 installed July 2023
SOH on the entire battery bank is sitting at 91% after 5 years with all batteries counting ±0.8 cycles...
So this is the newest of the batteries in the bank.
Whenever I added a new battery the new battery is always added as battery 1.
I recall that pylontech manual indicates that any new battery should be the first battery in the bank.
I'm planning to finish my battery bank by adding another 2...
