    This is about connecting to Gmail's smtp server from a third party client and connecting via Rain's blacklisted IPs... Port 465/587 to the smtp server...

    Exactly... this is what Gmail was doing if I used a third party client (NeoMutt/FairEmail) but they'd deliver the email from the blacklisted IP if I was using their apps in the browser or on the phone...

    Hi all, so I've now cancelled Rain but to answer the question below, I was using NeoMutt on my laptop and FairEMail on my phone and I was connecting to Gmails smtp server in both clients...     The IP is now on 13 black lists... https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3A197.185.108.25&run=toolpage and I suspect that even though I am connecting to gmail's smtp via a third party client from rain, gmail see's the original rain IP I connect from as blacklisted and marks...
