Early Upgrade

Hi, My dad is on MTN and his date for his next update is January 2012. I would like to get the iPhone 4S as soon as it comes out on MTN which is likely to be before the december(all countries will get it before december). So I was wondering if it might be possible to get an upgrade a month or so...
