    I see this as a problem too. I can get it towed out? Do they need to put it back together if I take it elsewhere? My insurance covers that.

    Thanks yea makes sense Re less work for gearbox specialist. The day the malfunction light came on it was shuddering when changing gears. Yes sadly that made it clear the cost of stripping gearbox. 8 hours at R1115! Will I need to get it towed to gearbox specialist then? Thank you!

    I’m in cpt. They stripped the whole gearbox to get to diagnosis. I saw the engine in pieces at the workshop . I think the model is too old to be that computerized?

    Yes I’ve learned my lesson now. It’s an automatic powershift gearbox. I feel like I do need to take it elsewhere & then negotiate a lower diagnosis /gearbox stripping fee. I’ve really trusted them for 10 years now ..
