The Wheel of Time Is Going to Be a TV Series After All

From the episode titles, it's been assumed it'll be Book 1 and some of the start of book 2.

They just tend to wear shawls of the Ajah colour and/or clothing that matches. There are 100% some issues with the trailer but it's another turning of the wheel and, as such, looks awesome.

I can recommend listening to the audiobooks if you feel the alleged slog at any point. I've not noticed it myself but I believe some folks burn out around WH or before.

Looking like around November (we hope). There's been precious little actual news but if you use twitter, @wotonprime and @sarahenakamura (their social media manager) are both great follows.

Should schools close for October holidays?

Lotta people in here not understanding that both teachers and students need the holidays to recover from the term. You’d know if you were a teacher.

Pop-star Demi Lovato announces they are non-binary

A: Why does it matter? Or possibly: How many people did you see leave? I get what you mean - it can be difficult to grasp the they/them singular pronoun. I truly do understand. But that's not really the point - the point is not "Is it difficult?", the point is to call people what they want to...

Weirdly,I don't think there's any way to fix that if they do.

A lot of archaeologists would like to talk to you about the accuracy of figuring out biological sex via skeletons. Turns out it's almost never that easy and things change. There are a lot of specimens that have had to be reclassified because it turns out that the assumptions of the 17th century...

Pop-star Demi Lovato announces they are non-binary

I truly and sincerely hope you never have children :) I'd hate to think of kids having the kind of father/mother that forces them to abide by house rules based on their genitals. If you do have children, I hope you talk to them without prejudice or you're likely to find your child among the...

I mean sure, but only if you're deliberately trying to be obstructive. "They" as a pronoun has been around in the singular form for ages. We still use it in a lot of sentences. "OCP was hungry so they ate some more food." is a perfectly valid construct.

Pop-star Demi Lovato announces they are non-binary

I can see how you might make that mistake if you think of people as things. However, since humans are, in fact, not things, the correct pronoun is still "they". An easy example is "Kodi has a child. Its name is Margaret."* This does not feel right when you say it. However, if you say "Kodi has...

Pop-star Demi Lovato announces they are non-binary

Choosing to believe that you're actually asking sincerely. The "they" is relatively simple. If someone identifies as non-binary, sometimes they choose to use the pronoun "they" instead of him/her. Him/her is more of a binary pronoun - which is 100% fine for those who identify as binary. So in...

No, sex is a biological concept. Gender is not. Hell, even sex is more difficult than just a binary option. As you drill further and further down into biological sex, you start finding that it's not a binary concept. This isn't a tough idea. If you were named Rainbowsquid when you were born...
