Correct! Took me a while to wrap my head around it, but the ASUS routers are "fibre-ready". Essentially just logged into the router and switched LAN port 1 to WAN port. TL;DR - yes. No speed issues whatsoever when the OpenVPN is deactivated.- applebottomjeans
