    Thanks for the reply, I was just commenting on the speed which is faster than card tap as others incorrectly stated that it is not. Actually a few seconds faster (same for Bitcoin Lightning which you can self-custody). Of course there are a lot of things to consider like you say.

    Factually, Luno Pay (and Bitcoin Lightning) at PnP is faster than any card payment, including card tap or apple/samsung pay.     The transaction fee is not a flat 70c rate. It depends on your wallet's connection to the Lightning Network. It could be 0.

    There are some misconceptions here. That 70c is a network fee and could be 0, it depends on how your wallet is connected to the network. And it is not slow, it takes a couple of seconds. It is faster than credit card payments most of the time.

    PnP does not take or hold the BTC, if you pay for a R100 basket, PnP gets settled R100.
