Time is coming up to replace my Everest (5 years old, 150,000km's).
Looking at getting the Haval H6 PHEV, anyone have reasons not to or able to suggest alternatives? I'm set on PHEV at this stage, trying to keep price at around R700k
Anyone have an opinion on TCL's 85" range?
Seems like my Samsung Q7FN 65" has had enough and I'm not in the mood to get it repaired after all these years.
Yeah...if you didn't like The First Law then Malazan is going to be even more of a challenge. Both fall into Grimdark Fantasy and the authors really don't do any hand holding. You get tossed into the thick of it with all the blood, gore and tears and you either get through it or you don't...
Same, I have a big drop off in production in the afternoon as I just don't have anything that uses power. Was thinking of dropping the geysers and running the rest of the house on battery.
Anyone switched from electric to gas geysers?
I already have a gas installation with 2 48kg bottles which is used for the stove and braai. Used to have a fireplace but I switched this to a close combustion stove.
The last big power draw I have left on my system is the 2 3kw 200l geysers both...
I'm trying R Scott Bakker now, Prince of Nothing trilogy. Will see how that goes.
Actually waiting for the release of Parade of Horribles by Matt Dinniman but that's only 1 book
I get that and I know its possible.
At the risk of being spoilerish though the main character just feels like a Mary Sue.
Its a 14 year old with a tragic back story that now has a plan for everything. He's 6 foot tall, somehow took over a band of brigands and can best anyone from swordsman to...
I've started on Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence, about 70% into it now.
I have a major disconnect with the story though in that the main character is supposedly only 14 years old. Was reading at age 3 and had basically studied major warfare theory and philosophy at age 10.
I love fantasy...
Been on a bit of a grimdark bender this year, finishing all of the following series:
Malazan Series - Steven Erikson
The Lies of Locke Lamora Series - Scott Lynchee
The Black Company Series - Glen Cook
Dungeon Crawler Carl Series - Matt Dinniman
Gone back to finishing the Joe Abercrombie books...
I just need to point out again, step 1 to winning the next world cup is:
Supporting the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup.
After that everything is just fluff.
Very much a non-event.
The important thing is who wins the Currie Cup that year.
We have no hope of winning the World Cup if the Cheetahs don't win the Currie Cup.
1995 - anomaly due to it being a home tournament and the spectacle of change in SA
2007 - Cheetahs won the Currie Cup
2019 -...
