Adding to this - turns out my number was being blocked by DNC lists that I had registered with years ago to alleviant SMS spam , I removed myself from them and the SMS from my Australian banks started to come through.
So it might not be MTN but something inbetween with the best of intentions.
Anyone else still having this issue - I recently stopped receiving SMS messages from international numbers on my MTN number which I have had for over a decade.
This also means that I am locked out of a number of online services offered by companies outside the country
Update to the above - after three weeks of no payment button customs destroyed the parcel - so mailamericas is a bust. There website feels very scammy too
I too got the mailamericas email and SMS - since both had the email that I used to buy from aliexpress as well as the tracking number I went ahead and filled out their dodgy looking google form. Seemed to work because the tracking on mailamericas had moved to customs payment required however...
Hi @Afrigirl if I am paying for a static IPV4 address will my IPV6 prefix also be static? I am with you guys on openserve.
I ask because I dont see a way on my mikrotik router to automatically subnet from the dynamically provided prefix and this post seems to indicate it is not actually...
My openserve was down this morning but traced it to the afrihost DNS servers not seeming to work - switched my routers DNS to the cloudflare one (1.1.1.1) and immediately it is working again.
This is what I am getting tonight:
It pretty much times out on every article then jumps over to my newsgroup direct server to complete it. Very very slow
Same on my side - setup fine in SABNzbd and the test connection button passes but if I download the SABNzbd test file I get a timeout and it switches to one of my third party block Usenet suppliers:
Note that it has been working fine for a long time. Just noticed recently that I am no longer...
Only saw this thread now - so I assume that you did switch to a new server. Can I ask if it is still limited to 8 connections? I have been using the afrihost news server for about 2 years now with my config set to 10 connections.
Thanks for the help - I am by no means an expert on IP and still trying to get my head around IPv6 - so battling to get things setup correctly on my Mikrotik router.
Cool thanks that answers my question - I know my Ipv4 address is static because I pay you guys for a static IPv4- and based on your answer as long as I do not change my router my IPv6 prefix should remain static too.
Thanks but I cannot avoid having static IP's for the Wireguard "clients" - from what I have managed to read wireguard does not really follow a server/client model - each device is both a server and a client which means that the client does not request an IP from the server. So my client needs to...
Question for the Afrihost representatives here. How static is the prefix that has been allocated to me? I ask because I am trying to setup a wireguard VPN at home and would like to route IPv6 traffic through it. I do not think that wireguard provides for dynamic IP assignment which means I need...
