No changes.
These are called YELLOW PLAN ESSENTIAL and are 24 months SIM-only contracts.
Apparently no data sharing allowed.
There is a 10 day cooling off period if a better deal mysteriously pops up.
P.S. There is also a 30GB once-off gift that is valid for a month. Not shareable.
Full allocation received on 3 numbers within minutes. Previous contract leftovers didn’t disappear so it looks a bit OTT right now.
With Black Friday 2 years ago, it took 5 months (and lots of fighting) to get activated. Glad to have a different experience this time around.
@maverick7987 I’m not familiar with the codes, nor did it come up. I was also offered more data like @JLo Human mentioned but you cannot get more than 500 minutes.
I have the R106pm x 24 deal live now across 3 contracts.
Edit: I’ve since added the Deal ID to my previous post.
I called 135 (Option 4, then Option 2) at 8am and was told that the BF deals only start on Monday.
That said, I asked what was currently on offer and was pleasantly surprised. Certainly presents as a BF deal.

10,000L per month for a family of 4.
There are 3 x 2,500L storage tanks for rain water which last well into summer for pool top-ups and garden irrigation.
While I’m not a fan of grey water harvesting (I removed the system in my new house), we have been gathering bathroom water for well over...
A very late update because the whole process was one I’d rather forget…but I managed to get the 500 minutes / 15GB / 50 SMS deal on 3 new lines. I had to fight for 6 months though!
As a consolation they gave me special pricing so I can’t complain (except for the crazy amount of spam calls I get...
It all revolves around a mobile app with push notifications to your screen. Personally, my system is paired with Blink video for visual inspection. Unfortunately Blink cameras have an IP66 rating while the Ajax MotionCam is really for indoor use.
* Edit: Hmm, I see the MotionCam is specifying...
Yip, Scoop at the bottom of Durbanville Hills has but stock is very low right now. You should be able to put together a basic system though. (Hub, MotionProtect, MotionCam).
In fact, the MotionCam might be a game changer for you with looking after your mom. Data usage is extremely low. If...
Having come from an extremely expensive and complex legacy alarm system that used SMS, today I use this: https://ajax.systems/
The hub/base station can either run off a SIM card (data) or plug into a network.
I am almost 2 years in and have zero regrets.
