@Ronald-RocketNet I’m busy applying for my service in Cape Town (also Vuma). Is there no more campaign for the R1,725 Vuma installation cost? Previously I signed a 6 month contract. Happy to do that again.
You a buy a prepaid SIM at MTN for R3.50 and then activate it in a feature phone (or smart phone I guess). The SIM will not activate in a router and must be switched on in a phone. (Note that MTN did this for me last week and somehow it failed...had to activate myself anyway)
Popped into my local MTN shop yesterday and all the BF deals are still being offered (old BF customers only).
Now using DataShare across 7 SIM cards. So incredibly handy. Even if you ask an MTN sales person to activate your prepaid SIM, be sure to do it yourself...DataShare will not activate...
I’ve been with RocketNet for ~16 months and have never looked back. I was always impressed with the offer on the table: free high-end router, subsidised install and the 6 months “term”. My 6 months came and went, sold the router (unused) and continued to be a happy camper.
My household does...

I must say, despite all the hiccups, this buzz is/was great. Great for us consumers. Great for MTN. MTN own Black Friday. Wish the other providers would step up.
Loving my new package with Data Share activated for 4 extra SIM cards.
Activated the service via the call centre, loaded beneficiaries via the MyMTN app. (MTN Services > Data Share)
I was able to load 3 beneficiaries only.
Edit: clearly the Data Share functionality is buggy. My 4th number has now gone through.
