MFN is available within a month or 2 in my area, but I see they're still on the old pricing. No ways am I paying R1200 for a 100mbps line.
R999 or GTFO. Though I do prefer 200mbps for R1099 like Openserve.
My rain is still giving me 400mbps for months now. So unless MFN decreases prices I...
@AfriNatic
Metro is currently finishing up the infrastructure in my area, should be live in July they said. I see Metro prices are still whack on Afrihost, will the new prices kick in soon?
Mweb for example has a 100mb up and down for R1199 through Metro. Which honestly is still a bad deal...
Guys have any of you found a way to force a certain tower?
I got 2 towers in my area, but I can only connect to the fast one for maybe a minute and then it reverts because it has worse signal.
But it gets over 100mb/s in peak time, where the better signal tower suffers at 5mb/s.
Is there no...
Seems mine also started being useless yesterday, in pretoria on my galaxy s20+. Been having to resort to using the workplace wifi which is ****, but a lot better than vodacom currently.
It's from my stoep, I'll take a pic tonight. The joke of the matter is I am not even in coverage, there is coverage 1km away from me so I guess they just didn't do the map properly :)
5G RSRQ -10.0dB
5G RSRP -69dBm up to -71dBm
5G SINR 10dB up to 22db (it varies depending on time of day)

I get around 65-70mbps upload now with my final router position. But I never saved those results for some reason. I'll run it again and upload my current result. My download speed never exceeds 630mpbs. On newshosting (usenet) I download between 60mb and 70mb per second usually.
yeah I think their map missed that tower or something, I just hope we get 100mbps at least 2 years down the line. Remember how happy we were with telkom lte at the start?
I got lucky then, I’m not even in coverage (there is coverage 2km from me) yet i rarely get under 550mbps.
here are my stats (my 5g sinr sometimes goes as high as 28db)
max speed I’ve had is 634mbps, but most of my speed tests I exit before upload starts so they don’t get saved.
I tested a friend's 5g at my house last night, I'm not even in the coverage area and my speed test got 617mbps rofl. Needless to say I am joining today. Even if I have to give a fake address, I will get this damn insane service asap.
I applied for the A8 deal, they phoned me on Friday and said it was pre approved. What happens next? Do I get an sms? Do they call again? I phoned them on Saturday and they confirmed that the credit check passed. But haven't really had any other feedback since.
