    The position has been clarified in other articles, you will pay whether you are connected or not, a lot of municipalities have already changed their own bylaws to facilitate this.

    Got to agree, Telkoms customer service let them down although the cancellation process was quick and easy which was a pleasant surprise. MTN burned their own bridge and Cell-C is a bit of an unknown at the moment, so for a contract Vodacom is the clear winner if thats the route you have to take...

    As long as they keep the price under control, they will do fine. The vast majority of people want quality at a reasonable price, the days of high-end high-cost phones for the average income earner are gone.

    I have bought my own phone and chopped and changed sim cards depending on who is the cheapest for the last decade. It is the way to go. The wife is currently on her last contract; I will not be renewing it for her again either. First thing I did was cancel the insurance much to Vodacoms disgust.

    Unless people start standing united against government nothing will change, and government will continue to extort money from people in ever increasing amounts. TV licenses and e-tolls should have taught people that government isn't as powerful as it would like the peasants to believe.
