    The Official Xiaomi Thread

Hi all. Can anyone share some views on the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G phone? Considering it for my son. General use (some gaming) and battery is what I am looking for. Either this or the Galaxy A35 5G.

    OnePlus 12

Thanks for all the feedback. I do not make use of esims so not phased by it. Would love the 512GB version but sure 256GB is sufficient.

    OnePlus 12

Busy looking at the OnePlus 12. Is everyone still happy with Chinese version with Global ROM installed? Nanozee have some decent pricing.

Rent-to-own solar for R2,500 per month tested

As an option, how will the rent option from GoSolr compare? They handle maintenance, etc. Should be covered if something better comes along. Yes, there is a fee if you want to terminate the contract at the end.

    Vumatel Price Drop & Vox

I see Vox advertising lower priced deals on their website. R899 vs R959 I am paying on 50/5 line. Also considering moving to another ISP that is cheaper or faster line for same amount.

Big fibre price cuts and higher speeds for fibre in South Africa

Absolutely. Spoke to Vox earlier in the week and they also said that they are waiting for Vumatel.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 20

Hi all. Is the Note 20 really worth the price tag? Due for upgrade from a Huawei Mate 20 Pro, but soon realised how insanely they are priced. Had a Note 3 which I loves to bits. Was looking forward to get another Note, but eish.

    Oneplus 7T and 7T Pro

How long did you wait for delivery? Who was courier? Looking at importing, but never done it before.

Are you brand loyal when it comes to filling your car?

For me it is 2 reasons. 1 - Engen is closest to my place of residence; and 2 - eBucks component also plays a role. But since working from home this is becoming less of an consideration.

Netflix price change plans for South Africa

Can we then maybe get access to all Netflix content? :p

Pension funds shouldn’t be 'fearful' of Eskom - Ramaphosa

Hell no. You are playing with people's livelihood here. I foresee that the burden on social grants to increase dramatically as pension funds will not be able to sustain.......Sorry don't trust these guys to manage this properly.

Do you support CCTV cameras around your neighbourhood?

Happy to support the initiative. But your local security companies will need to get on-board as the SAPS cannot manage and monitor this. As mentioned previously, no need to have sight into properties though.

South Africa’s government workers say no to wage cut

Don't know what is more stupid. The fact that the question was asked or the expectation that they would say yes.:ROFL:
