What are you looking to buy/try?
Some of the kit sellers will have used equipment, but usually sells by word of mouth.
I have found Carbonite reliable having said that.
I use them all the time - key issue to not having them break - wash in the dishwasher and not by hand.
In almost 20 years of using them all the time - only ever had 3 break, and two of those were during hand washing.
Its a standard release you can buy in a store - and despite the price, its also not very good. Auction will probably get you R1.5k if you are lucky. I think the advice already given here is best option.
Gave up on those too - French door ones FTW.
Upside - have had decent toast for 4 years and no need to buy another toaster. Small thing sin life matter.
Feel the pain - spent years trying to solve the problem - this toaster did. Bought in January 2020 to replace a Breville, Philips and Salton.............

Past owner of two Philips XXLs checking in - first one died two months before the warranty expired, was fixed and then dies again a year later. Made the mistake of replacing like for like, and eventually we gave the replacement away to a family member who wanted one.
Now have the Milex French...
1. Feel free to state your consumption
Mine is between 1 and 3 mugs a day - depends if at home or office. If no decent coffee available, prefer a rooibos tea.
2. I was wondering - without feeling the need to Google it - why some people are so affected by the caffeine in coffee and others not...
Look up Park Avenue Liquor store - they have some good stuff in stock and should be easy to access in NYC.

Agreed with others that I suspect Balcones or GB may be a challenge to find.
