in order to gather flies my dear
(like yourself ?)
Do YOU work for MTN ?
and have most of your 40983 messages being like the one above ?
Or am I getting you wrong ?
Same same with the municipal transformers "exploding" & electrical switchgear flashing/burning. Electrical stuff just does not like constant off-and-on. In the plant where I work, we try to keep power ON, on most of the old PLCs and drives (during shut downs) in order not to have startup issues.
In a previous life, I actually did. Installed a 4km Wifi link from an ADSL line in pvt home to a factory which was too far from the exchange for DSL. Of course, it is technically illegal ...
Anyways
Speaking against the backdrop of another sustained period of power disruption and warnings of...
1) 24-month Contracts (how do you get out of it?), and
2) if the power is on it is the best deal: Three kids (with prepaid sim cards) sharing the data. And Vodacom does not have a similar option (if you want to share data - your sim cards must be on a contract sim).
Every suburb has armed reaction these days. It costs R 393 in Parys to monitor your alarm. How difficult is it to have a beam coupled to an alarm for a tower? AFAIK Parys have ONE mtn tower - can't they afford R 393? Why is Vodacom and Telkom NEVER off during load shedding ?
It WORKED !!!!
For the first time today, in 2 years, the power is OFF ... and mtn is ON!
Great Stuff
Yes I know. In all probability it is just coincidence. Nevertheless thanks to all the nice people (* gender neutral *) that responded and gave good advice.
To the rest ... I love you too ...
