Was planning on doing that myself. I have a lot of sonoff stuff running in my house and actualy quite like their stuff for automation. Question though. Of the battery side of things... What do you guys suggest for more accurate monitoring? 24V system 200A batteries sort of limit the monitoring...
Communica has limited stock of the Omnipowers

I would call for stock quantities.
I buy from them weekly... Very legit. I was there yesterday and saw 1 or 2 120Ah omni and 180ah omni's in stock. for those looking for omni's and you are in JHB Pretoria Area... if you hurry you might pick them up. Price on the 180 was 5100ish
"I know a guy who knows a guy".. Who sells batteries and inverters etc. You guys are welcome to give him a go. WhatsApp him for prices. +27 83 463 3574. His name is Chris and he is in Pretoria . I opted not to go with his batteries as I did not like the cycle count that mutch... Can't remember...
Hmmm the wire is 16mm squared and can handle 85Amps continuous. The wire that came with the unit were 2 AWG10 wires lugged together providing a crappy solution to get 10.5mm squared. I would think the 16mm is well sized for the solution with the 80amp fuse. Why do you think it is to thin?
Agree that there is no Diff on where the Fuse is installed Positive line or between the batteries, the circuit will be broken if the fuse blows.
Regarding the resistance. I also don't agree with that. If your Fuse causes any measurable resistance it is sized wrong. a fuse is suppose to measure...
So As promised the pics of the final setup. Spent the whole evening splitting the multi plugs on essential and non essential devices. In the end I am running my Gaming rig with 27" screen, fiber router, Wireless router, Network switch, 2x POE AP's for wireless throughout the house, 1x 50" TV and...
Did not like the cables that came with my unit today. I just ordered thicker cables from Jacque @ Bushpower. He is also building them for me with an inline fuse. A bit extra i know but after all this time money and energy i'd rather do it right... will send pics on final setup tonight.
Agree... Some AGM's also get there but they are few and hard to find... Only problem with Gel is the low charge rates. In the current discussion this is not an issue as the unit does 20A charge. but when you move to bigger inverter/chargers or solar then Gel starts struggling because you cannot...
Attached is the Battery I got. For me... in the mid range price range (100ah R2400 - R2800 and 200ah R4600 - R5000 is for me mid range) giving you 1400 cycles at 50% DoD was good value for money. As with everything you get what you pay for... Omnipower gives almost 2500 cycles on 50% DOD but...
Yup - That is a good deal.... Just remember that you do not want to put 2 big of a load on that. even though the inverter can deliver 1400w you should not do that... I have 2 x 200ah batteries for a 600w load... I would not exceed 300 to 350w max on those batteries
Geewiz also has stock.

Cheaper and 10x better service (i got mine from PC Link out of necessity)
Its a Pure Sine... that is why it is so expensive. The mecer is modulated sine. Basicaly in simple terms... with mecer you can run anything with a power pack... pc / tv / decoder / router / lights are safe... etc. But... anything with a motor will have an issue... Fan / hair dryer / Fridge /...
