Self installation dstv tvlink with Xtraview

Hi Pls assist, bought explora 3a, bought splitters and eyelink to connect the TV the room it didn't work, was adviced to buy modulator, I did. The TV in the room has the picture but the eyelink doesn't go on so we unable to change
