I can buy a very good Xiaomi Mi Box S from R999. This unknown product even with R198 of free Showmax is no big deal as the price is very similar.
Even though I am in the market for another Android box this is not in the least bit tempting.
Well these turkeys website does not even work, the otp to login never arrives, and then they send infringement notices to post offices nowhere close to your registered address!
Called today to switch from Decoder package to Streaming package and was told it can't be done. Said OK then let me cancel, no problem and got put through to 'retentions'.
Even their own staff don't give a damn.
Their streaming app is a piece of crap, and being able to stream on one TV and one...
Moved to a rented property without a DStv dish for my decoders. Streaming is only allowed on 1 TV and then on small mobile devices. I cannot stream on 2 TV's at the same time, so they can keep it and kiss my +-R1000/m goodbye too. Disney and/or Amazon here I come!

I moved into a rented home without a dstv installation. I am not prepared to install...

This sounds like a load of hogwash as ripple relays have been fitted to thousands of geysers giving municipalities this control already. Sounds like another attempt to get to the feeding trough.
We have 2 decoders and often have 2 different channels playing. When loadshedding strikes, our internet powered by a UPS stays up and we switch to streaming on mobile devices.
However now we are limited to only 1 stream on 1 smaller device. I think a fairer approach would at least be 1 stream...
